Marcelle's Birthday

Please join me in raising funds for United Hatzalah of Israel. I am doing this in celebration of my birthday.

Message to sponsors:

In celebration of my birthday, I figured I would do something meaningful and promote the mitzvah of giving tzedakah. I am raising money for a lifesaving defibrillator for United Hatzalah of Israel. Giving tzedakah to an organization that literally saves lives not only fulfills the mitzvah of giving tzedakah, but also helps achieve the idea of:

"וכל המקיים נפש אחת מישראל מעלה עליו הכתוב כאילו קיים עולם מלא" which means, "Whoever saves one life, saves a world entire" (Sanhedrin 37a). When Kain killed Hevel, he killed the potential of Hevel having generations and generations of people come from him. Saving even just one life, ensures that generations and generations of people can continue to come forth from that one person.

I saw firsthand, in Israel, the impact of United Hatzalah and how it saves so many lives with so much care and dedication. Any amount you can give is amazing. Tizku Lemitzvot!
