Avner Ben David's Campaign

Join me in raising funds and awareness for United Hatzalah of Israel. I am doing this in memory of Sheldon Schreiner.

Message to sponsors:

Hi, my name is Avner Ben David, and I live in Israel. I am embarking on a fundraising venture to raise money for an Ambucycle in memory of Sheldon.

I met Sheldon about 10 years ago when I worked in a bakery located in Jerusalem owned by his sons, Hillel and Chaim. Sheldon was searching for a companion to travel with and invited me to come along on a few trips to locations in Europe and Asia (a year ago we made our last trip together to Vietnam and Thailand).

Today I am an officer in the army, married to Eliana and father to Yahav and Nofech.

In addition to my day job, I volunteer as an EMT with “United Hatzalah” and manage the Tel Aviv branch voluntarily for over 4 years now.

Any time I had the opportunity to be with Sheldon and talk to him, he always showed great appreciation for the life-saving activities and stories I had the privilege of sharing with him.

If I had the opportunity to ask him today if he would like to have an Ambucycle in his memory, he would smile his captivating smile and say: “for sure Avner!”

Unfortunately, he is not here to answer the question, but since I am sure of the answer, I am launching this fundraising campaign so I will have the privilege of helping to save lives in Sheldon’s memory.

It would give me great pleasure to have you join me in this mission and become an active partner in saving lives in Israel while commemorating Sheldon's name.
