Friends of United Hatzalah is currently offering a full-time Texas Regional Development Director position.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage Texas Regional Office
    • Communicate and support the vision, mission and core values of United Hatzalah of Israel into the not- for-profit community, existing and potential contributors, and the public at large.
    • Initiate and coordinate fundraising activities and meetings.
    • Manage and develop layleadership relationships to support overall fundraising efforts including regional committees (local Boards).
  • Grow Portfolio of Texas Donors
    • Build on existing donor base by getting current donors to increase their support and bringing in new donors and foundations.
    • Specific focus on major gift donors, $10k+.
  • Event planning
    • Coordinate cultivation and outreach events, including parlor events and local major events including dinners and Galas.
    • Overseeing event planning, logistics, and follow up.
  • Donor Stewardship
    • Ensure donors receive our best-in-class donor stewardship.
    • Communicate with donors to highlight the impact of their giving and the stewardship they will receive.

The Texas Regional Development Director will be supervised by the Chief Development Officer and will have significant opportunities to interact with the United Hatzalah staff in Israel and in the United States.

We are currently seeking a professional for a newly created Events Associate position. This fulltime, position based in the NYC headquarters (hybrid work schedule) will be responsible for supporting the Events Team with galas, parlor meetings and speaker tours and will report to the Senior Director of Events.

Major responsibilities:

  • Process and distribute event tickets, generate event sales reports and collect seating requests
  • Maintain RSVP lists and follow-up with donors for guest names and ad text
  • Assist with technical processes for on-site fundraising opportunities at events
  • Manage the US calendar of events

We are currently seeking a professional for a newly created Office Manager position. This full-time position, based in the NYC headquarters will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing office and administrative procedures, ensuring high levels of organizational efficiency and communication for a team of approximately 20. This position will report to the Director of Fundraising Operations.

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assist with procurement across all departments, including:
    • sourcing and quoting products and services
    • creating purchase orders
    • confirming delivery of goods and services
    • building and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Manage New York office space and oversee facilities operations
  • Supervise the maintenance of office equipment and the purchase of office supplies, maintaining consistent inventory for

  • Maintain contact and account management of Presidents Donor portfolio in Salesforce
  • Create reports and provide data analytics to support Presidents Fundraising objectives

Major responsibilities:

  • Follow-up with referrals, donors, and prospects to the fundraising team to ensure that information is disseminated, and the campaign is strengthened
  • Work local fundraising events on an as-needed basis process payments and donations as needed

The Accounting Associate will exercise a high level of accountability and attention to detail and will demonstrate an ability to work both independently and within a team environment, ensuring compliance with GAAP, internal policies and procedures, and industry-specific rules and regulations.

  • Maintain general ledger, including detailed data entry to accurately record daily transactions
  • Maintain day-to-day banking operations and support accurate revenue tracking

The Accounting and Compliance Specialist will exercise a high level of accountability and will partner with global functional teams to ensure adherence to governmental rules and regulations, internal policies and procedures and industry standards, and maintaining financial records in an effective, accurate and timely manner. Principal duties and responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and maintain financial activity within Israel for Canada and other international branches, including detailed data entry to ensure clear documentation of all transactions
  • Actively partner with Israeli finance department on programmatic needs for United Hatzalah programs managed by international branches including Canada
  • Manage international banking operations in Israel by accounting for all transactions and conducting relevant account reconciliations
  • Monitor transactions and procurements for proper due diligence and ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
  • Review all invoices and payments for appropriate documentation and approvals
  • Maintain organized filing and recordkeeping systems for all financial transactions
  • Support Canada Director and other senior members of management to compile, analyze, and report financial data

United Hatzalah is seeking a person with excellent administrative skills, social media savvy, and communication expertise to fulfill a unique role in the Office of the President, Eli Beer.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of the President’s office with ongoing administrative needs, including updating contact information, researching prospective donors and organizations, monitoring correspondence.
  • Assist the Director of the President’s Office with special stewardship projects as they arise.  
  • Transcribe voice notes and edit text messages to create social media posts on Eli Beer’s behalf, with an eye toward enhancing engagement and increasing followers on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.
  • Support the organization’s fundraising efforts by coordinating and sharing information and digital media with international staff.
  • Research, track, and recruit social media influencers in both the Jewish and non-Jewish world to share the message of United Hatzalah’s life-saving work.
  • Collaborate with the organization’s media team on marketing for large-scale projects such as fundraising galas, speaking engagements, and fundraising campaigns.

This is a full-time position based out of our Jerusalem headquarters (Sunday through Thursday) with flexible hours as needed.

Requirements:

  • One or more years working in social media with a proven track record for attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in marketing, advertising, or communications
  • Native fluency in English and medium-to-high level Hebrew
