Dear Friends,
I wanted to tell you about an amazing friend of mine, Gilad. Gilad is a volunteer of ours who is serving at United Hatzalah as part of his Sherut Ezrachi/ Army Service. Gilad grew up in an extremely ultra-orthodox home and community where doing army service is not acceptable. He still felt a need to give back somehow while remaining religious and he found a way to do both with United Hatzalah. He decided to volunteer his time by helping us save lives every day. Unfortunately his parents were not happy with this decision and they cut their financial support and asked him to leave home.
Gilad has been living in an apartment with lone soldiers in the meantime, but Baruch Hashem, he recently got engaged to Shoshana. As the wedding approaches, I was hoping to help Gilad by raising 10,000 dollars to help cover some of the basic costs of the wedding since he is not getting any help from his family.
I would like to raise the funds in the next 48 hours!!
This is a very big mitzvah and a wonderful way to help give back to someone who has given up so much in order to help United Hatzalah.
I would really appreciate your help with this project. If you or anyone you know are able to donate towards this worthy cause, please let me know and I would be very happy to give you more details for the donation.
Thank you so much and a big Mazal Tov to Gilad and Shoshana!
