We're all in this together.

Alex Katz's Campaign

Join me in raising funds and awareness for United Hatzalah of Israel. I am doing this in celebration of "\"\"Completing the Israeli EMT Certification and Volunteering with United Hatzalah\"\"".

Message to sponsors:

During and after the initial lockdown in March, as the world ground to a halt, I decided to try use my time productively to train as an EMT and join United Hatzalah's team of volunteers.  Upon completing the intensive training course (I hadn't studied this hard since the Bar Exam) and successfully passing both the theory and practical exams, I wanted to use this opportunity to fundraise and donate toward my own equipment.  United Hatzalah is unique in Israel, insofar as all of its services are provided at no charge to the receipients.  As a result, all revenues are generated by fundraising around the world.  This is why I am asking for your help - so that I can in turn help save lives in Jerusalem.

With 1800+ calls per day, United Hatzalah has achieved and continues to work on reducing its 90 second response rate and this can only be done (especially in urban areas such as Jerusalem) with nimble vehicles such as the ambucycle and e-bike.

I hope that your participation in this campaign will enable me to perform this critical mitzvah of saving lives, especially as we re-enter a new lockdown in Israel and as the world continues to be challenged by the impacts of Covid-19.  Rachel and I have contributed the first $1800 toward this campaign to ensure that I can maximize my impact to the organization.   Tizku L'Mitzvot.

Shana Tova,

Alex Katz
