United Hatzalah of Israel is seeking a full-time executive social media manager to work with the Founder of the organization to manage the various social accounts and to advance his work and the work of the organization. The role includes working closely with the Founder as well as with a diverse team and different departments to facilitate the digital storytelling and marketing efforts.
Social Media Executive Job Duties:
Oversees all social media accounts management for Founder (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written and audio/podcast).
Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales. Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and
answering questions where appropriate.
Develops engaging, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which enlighten audiences and promote brand-focused messages.
Coordinates social media messaging with brand managers.
Fluent and professional written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills in English and Hebrew.

United Hatzalah is the largest independent, non-profit, fully-volunteer emergency medical services organization that provides first response care in Israel within minutes of the initial call of distress.
All of United Hatzalah’s volunteers are trained and certified as EMTs, paramedics or doctors. Through their LifeCompass Command Center, United Hatzalah uses a unique GPS dispatch technology to identify the closest and most qualified volunteers to an emergency, maximizing efficient allocation of resources and minimizing response times. Given their proximity, volunteers are able to arrive on scene within 2 to 3 minutes. Hatzalah provides its services free of charge.
In addition to the proprietary GPS deployment, the key to United Hatzalah’s success in saving lives is its medically equipped “ambucycles” – which are able to travel nimbly through traffic, narrow alleys and obstructed roadways to bring almost all the necessary medical equipment an ambulance carries to the scene of an emergency. By using a location-based volunteer network and ambucycles, United Hatzalah guarantees that medical care can begin prior to the arrival of a traditional transport ambulance that may be delayed due to distance or traffic.
United Hatzalah, based in Jerusalem, is currently offering a full-time Israel Fundraising Manager position.
Oversee Israel Fundraising Activities
Oversee and coordinate all of UH’s Israel fundraising efforts in Israel, reporting in to Vice President/Global Fundraising Director and Israel CEO.
Manage Israel Fundraising Staff
Manage all UH Israel staff focused on fundraising across the organization, including major gift fundraisers, event teams for signature events including galas and concerts, corporate sponsorship team, telemarketing program, and more.
Manage Portfolio of Donors
Build and maintain good relationships with new and prospective donors across multiple sectors in Israel, strategize engagement opportunities, and grow number of major gift donors.
Develop UH Brand to Support Fundraising Efforts
Communicate and support the vision, mission and core values of United Hatzalah of Israel into staff; the not-for-profit community, existing and potential contributors, governmental entities and the public at large.
Developing marketing and stewardship materials to support fundraising efforts.
Support Strategic Approach to Fundraising Across Organization
Manage and develop lay leadership relationships to support overall fundraising efforts.
Work closely with the Israel Board to develop and grow fundraising impact.
Fully Integrate Israel into International Fundraising Activities
Work closely to align Israel fundraising efforts with international fundraising, including collaboration among global fundraising staff members and around global fundraising events.
The Israel Fundraising Director will be supervised by the Vice President/Global Fundraising Director and Israel CEO and will have significant opportunities to interact with the United Hatzalah staff in Israel and internationally.
Successful candidates must demonstrate the following:
7-10 years of fundraising experience (experience with marketing is also acceptable). • Sound knowledge of, and familiarity with, the charity sector in Israel.
Excellent leadership skills. Experience managing a team, and the ability to work well with others and inspire them
Fluent and professional written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills in English and Hebrew (any additional language is a plus).
Public speaking skills and the ability to deliver presentations to a range of audiences.

United Hatzalah seeks a bilingual grant writer to assist with the full grant cycle: research, LOI’s, applications, reporting and ongoing correspondence. This is a full-time position working at Jerusalem office.
- Write grant applications and reports to funders and prospective funders
- Produce donor-driven marketing material
- Build program proposals, including budgets and measurables
- Track and supervise submissions and relationships with funders using organizational CRM
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Native-level English speaker with outstanding English writing skills
- Hebrew - basic speaking, reading, and writing skills
- At least 2 years of proven grant writing experience
- Excellent analytical and creative skills
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines and work well under pressure
- Strong team player skills
- Computer literacy: OFFICE, EXCEL, on-line grant reporting and submission, CRM
