We have raised: $23,792 of
$23,000
Please help us reach our goal!

Message to sponsors:

**This campaign is now being matched dollar for dollar by an anonymous Beth Jacob family up to $5,000!**

Shalom! We started this campaign because Arie Pelta MD, a doctor as well as a United Hatzalah volunteer living in Israel's Beit Shemesh needs a ACLS defibrillator known as a 'Phillips - MRX' to help save lives in Israel.

There are over 100,000 people living in Israel's Beit Shemesh and the nearest hospital is a 40 minute drive away. Dr. Pelta is a surgeon certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support; this piece of a equipment will allow him to save many more lives that would otherwise be lost, since the MRX can perform several critical functions that a regular defibirillator cannot provide.

This includes a 12-lead EKG to diagnose an acute MI or an arrhytmia, oxygen saturation, deliver manual shocks, automatic blood pressure and allows continued monitoring of the patient from the field to the hospital, The overall cost for the machine itself, support equipment, and maintainence is $23,000.

There is an old Jewish saying, "He who saves a life, saves an entire world." To save a life is priceless. Help us reach our goal and save lives in Israel!

Dr. Pelta, please accept this donation in honor of my 5 grandchildren; and thank you for your brilliance in medicine and trying to help people. Hello, it's Manny Goldin, and i just became a Bar Mitzvah. I wanted to donate some money to this charity because I have friends who we consider family living in Beit Shemesh. If anything were to happen to them I would want them to be able to get to the hospital quickly and for the doctors to have the right tools to help them.
