WHAT IS OCT7K?
OCT7K is a 7-kilometer memorial run held each year around October 7 to celebrate Jewish strength, pride, and community. We run, we shvitz, we raise money for a great cause, the United Hatzalah.
What began in Toronto has grown even bigger, and now also includes Vancouver, Austin, Texas and Long Island, NY . Whether you’re a novice runner or an ultra-marathoner, YOU belong here.
THIS YEAR’S GOAL
Our goal this year is to invite 252 runner’s to participate, commemorating the 252 hostages taken on October 7th. The first 252 runners to register will each receive a commemorative Running Bib, just like the pro’s.
This year we have partnered with United Hatzalah, with a goal to train 16 medics in Israel who will volunteer and provide emergency medical services to civilians in Israel. United Hatzalah cares for anyone and everyone in Israel, regardless of race, color or creed.
Each runner stands for courage. Each step speaks for unity. Each dollar raised powers impact.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Date: Sunday, October 5th, 2025 (morning)
- Cities: Toronto, ON • Vancouver, BC • Austin, TX • Long Island, NY
- Route Locations: All Routes are 7km in length, and are run on public, high-traffic routes, optimized to allow for lots of nature, community and safety.

- Distance: 7 kilometres; run or jog, fast or slow.
Every participant receives:
- Official race bib
- Bagels at the finish line

About United Hatzalah of Israel
United Hatzalah of Israel is the largest independent, non-profit, fully volunteer Emergency Medical Service organization that provides the fastest and free emergency medical first response throughout Israel. United Hatzalah’s service is available to all people regardless of race, religion, or national origin. United Hatzalah has more than 8,000 volunteers around the country, available around the clock – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With the help of our unique GPS technology and our iconic ambucycles, our average response time is less than 3 minutes across the country and 90 seconds in metropolitan areas. Our mission is to arrive at the scene of medical emergencies as soon as possible and provide the patient with professional and appropriate medical aid until an ambulance arrives, resulting in many more lives saved.
