Our Mission: Saving Lives

When every second counts, United Hatzalah is there.

Code Blue. Cardiac arrest. 60-year-old male on the 4th floor. United Hatzalah volunteers arrive within 90 seconds, stabilize the patient, and transport him to the hospital. They're ready for the next urgent call.

Code Orange. Disaster. Multiple Casualties. The call goes out to all EMS responders, police and IDF personnel. United Hatzalah volunteers are the first responders to arrive on the scene.

Because our mission is to save lives.

How do we do it? United Hatzalah's iconic ambucycles, ambulances, state-of-the-art communication system, and pioneering GPS technology enable our volunteers to arrive within minutes of emergencies - every time.

Now our communication system is at risk. Thousands of lives are in peril

The mobile technology that powers our Motorola PTT devices is being phased out at the end of 2017! This is an urgent upgrade that is crucial to saving lives. Every one of United Hatzalah's 5,000 volunteers must be outfitted TODAY with pioneering new mobile devices that will accelerate response time, improve data streaming, and allow the resources needed to reach the scene of the emergency on time, every time. Each new device costs $1800 which is why we urgently need your help.

An amazing family who are incredibly committed to saving lives and has been very invested in United Hatzalah of Israel for many years, have generously stepped up to match all donations in this campaign. Through personal experience, they recognize the importance of every volunteer having a defibrillator so that no one ever dies of a cardiac arrest unnecessarily.

Saving Time. Saving Lives.

Founded in 2006, United Hatzalah has grown to become the largest independent, non-profit, nationaly recognized and fully-volunteer emergency medical services (EMS) orginization in Israel, responding to over 900 emergency calls a day. United Hatzalah's 5,000 medics, paramedics, and doctors create a web of emergency first responders, each connected to a GPS-based dispatch system which, together with our innovative transportation solutions, provids lifesaving aid faster than any other EMS organization in the world, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

United Hatzalah has democratized access to emergency medical services by providing its services free of charge and has improved victim outcomes by getting first responders to the scene of an emergency three times faster than an ambulance. Our volunteers, spotted at every medical emergency, have been dubbed 'Angels in Orange' after their trademark orange vests. United Hatzalah has set a goal to grow to 6,000 volunteer medics in Israel by 2020 and further reduce the average response time to just 90 seconds nationwide.
