This is how it all began. 40 years ago I was able to put to use the CPR I had learned to save someone's life. It is probably the reason why I eventually became an active volunteer on the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance prior to making Aliyah. I have witnessed first hand the need for fast, professional and free medical care to all (including one of my own children, being delivered in one of Teaneck's Ambulances!). As a tour guide who travels extensively throughout Israel, I have personally seen the amazing work that United Hatzalah of Israel does on a daily basis. Over 1,100 emergency responses daily, 24/7 - 365 days a year. United Hatzalah is also dedicated to bringing together the many varied communities in Israel and beyond. United Hatzalah is an independent, non-profit, fully volunteer Emergency Medical
Services organization that provides the fastest and free emergency medical first
response throughout Israel. United Hatzalah's service is available to all people without
regard to race, religion or national origin.
