akiva lamdan's Campaign

Please join me in raising funds for United Hatzalah of Israel. I am doing this in recognition of TEAM 97 JERUSALEM.

Message to sponsors:

Dear friend  I just want to let you know about one of the most effective and impactful organizations that I have come across in a long time, United Hatzalah. As we watch terror attack after terror attack strike Israel, one cannot but help notice the angels in orange racing to the scene on their hallmark ambucycles. I am not only amazed at their dedication but also at the risk they are exposed to during their daily activities. When everyone else is running away they are running into the epicenter of the chaos and danger. I was shocked to learn that not every one of the 2600 United Hatzalah volunteers has a bulletproof vest and helmet. I am personally well acquainted with Shimi Kopolovits, head of one of the most active units in Jerusalem. He confirmed to me that many members of his unit unhesitantly enter the most risky of environments to help save others. It is our most basic responsibility to help them as they help others.   Shimmy also mentioned to me that not all of the medics in his unit have AEDs (defibrillators). He described to me the feeling that a medic has when he knows that if he only had an AED he could have saved that persons life. I can only imagine the feeling of a family member knowing that their loved one could have had a chance to live if only  Click here to help provide these brave rescuers with the lifesaving equipment to save others and the bulletproof and winter weather gear to save them.
