Shoshana Samet's Campaign

Please join me in raising funds for United Hatzalah of Israel. I am doing this in celebration of My Bat Mitzvah.

Message to sponsors:

Hi! My name is Shoshana Samet. I live in Baltimore, Maryland. In honor of my Bat Mitzvah, I would like to raise money to sponsor an ambucycle for United Hatzalah. United Hatzalah is an amazing volunteer organization that saves lives everyday. Heart attacks, car accidents, G-d forbid terror attacks, or any medical or trauma emergency, United Hatzalah can respond within just 3 minutes to help save people! I know about Hatzalah because I fainted once and total strangers from Hatzalah in Baltimore were there within a couple of minutes taking care of me! A few years ago, my Israeli-born grandmother was visiting Israel and became extremely sick. Israeli EMS arrived within minutes and saved her life. I know how important it is to act quickly and stabilize patients from my father who is a trauma anesthesiologist at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. So I believe it is really important for me to raise money for organizations like United Hatzalah. What is most impressive about United Hatzalah is that they are really United! People that are often at war with one another are working together and helping each other whenever there is a medical emergency. It’s amazing! To get a better idea of the work United Hatzalah does, please watch a short TedMed video presentation by the founder of United Hatzalah, Eli Beer. Click here to watch the video! Please help me reach my goal to raise $26,000 (the budget needed to buy, outfit and maintain one ambucycle). Donate online or send checks (please write Shoshana Samet in the memo line) to: Friends of United Hatzalah 208 East 51st Street, Suite 303 New York, NY 10022 I thank my grandfather, Dr. Michael Samet, for suggesting to raise money for an ambucycle. With everyone's help, large and small, we can all share in the Mitzvah of saving lives. Wishing a speedy recovery to all those that are injured and sick, and peace to the entire world. Thank you so much! Shoshana Samet
