Many have reached out to ask whether there is a particular organization to which donations might be made in our beloved father’s memory. United Hatzalah of Israel is certainly a cause that was especially near and dear to his heart.
United Hatzalah’s extraordinary lifesaving mission — providing immediate emergency care to anyone in need, across every segment of Israeli society — resonated deeply with "Zida Bernie". He had tremendous admiration and affection for the dedicated volunteers he lovingly referred to as his “angels in orange,” and he truly regarded the United Hatzalah family as part of his own.
We are deeply touched by United Hatzalah’s kindness in establishing this page in our father’s memory, and profoundly grateful to all who have expressed a desire to honor his memory in this meaningful way.
Tizku l’mitzvot ... may his memory always be a source of blessing, inspiration and strength for our family and Klal Yisrael.
