United Hatzalah is Israel's only nationwide, fully volunteer emergency medical service. Training and equipment is provided to ordinary people — neighbors, parents, professionals — to provide immediate, on-scene care during the critical minutes before an ambulance arrives. Because in an emergency, seconds count. That's why it's important that volunteers are already there.
Recruit, train and equip new volunteer medics. Each United Hatzalah volunteer responds to an average of 20 emergencies monthly, assisting 240+ individuals annually for years to come.
Across israel, approximately 2000 calls are answered by United Hatzalah everyday.

United Hatzalah’s service is available to all people regardless of race, religion, or national origin. United Hatzalah has more than 8,600 volunteers around the country, available around the clock – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With our unique dispatch technology, innovative rapid response vehicles, and community-based volunteer network, our 8,600 volunteers - medics, paramedics, nurses, midwives and doctors - arrive to emergencies within minutes, and our goal is to arrive at any emergency across Israel in 90 seconds.
