Shabbat morning at 6:20am Israel was targeted by Hamas terrorists who crossed its border, infiltrating 25 towns, resulting in hundreds killed, many people kidnapped, and many more injured. At the same time, thousands of rockets were launched into Israel, reaching Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. A state of war has been declared by Israel's Defense Minister. In response, United Hatzalah has called in 30 additional dispatchers and mobilized our operations team. As of this morning, our medics have treated more than 1,000 soldiers, adults, and children. We are launching an emergency appeal to raise funds for desperately needed supplies to provide our volunteers the equipment they need to save lives and the protective equipment to keep themselves safe - protective vests and helmets, oxygen tanks, defibrillators, trauma bandages and tourniquets Our existing inventory of medical supplies and equipment that was supposed to be sufficient for the next year is now completely depleted, and we need to order more. These supplies can be ordered and delivered over the course of the next week to ensure that UH volunteers have everything they need to respond to the ongoing attacks. Our medics are on the front line and in need of support and reinforcements as they respond to lifesaving calls. Our Impact To Date: 1,500 volunteers in the southern region 25 ambulances 2 helicopters 300 people transported to hospitals in our ambulances Treated over 1,000 people in the field.
