United Hatzalah is an Israeli organization that seeks to provide rapid emergency care, saving lives around the country. My cousin and l are spending four weeks in Israel this summer with NCSY Hatzalah Rescue, training to be emergency medical responders. We spent 10 days in a classroom learning material, and are now working daily ambulance shifts, responding to emergencies all over central Israel. United Hatzalah’s service is available to all people regardless of race, religion, or national origin. United Hatzalah has more than 8,600 volunteers around the country, available around the clock – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With our unique dispatch technology, innovative rapid response vehicles, and community-based volunteer network, our 8,600 volunteers - medics, paramedics, nurses, midwives and doctors - arrive to emergencies within minutes, and our goal is to arrive at any emergency across Israel in 90 seconds.
