Over the last 2 years, our family has been privileged to be part of United Hatzalah as Chaim, with the support of the whole family, has been volunteering as first-responder medic in our neighborhood of Jerusalem. We see from up close the difference United Hatzalah’s first responders make, and are running to raise money to help continue facilitating this important work. Chaim is part of Hatzalah’s division of volunteer first responders, who drop everything to respond to medical emergencies and provide initial interventions before an ambulance can arrive.

United Hatzalah of Israel is the largest independent, non-profit, fully volunteer Emergency Medical Service organization that provides the fastest and free emergency medical first response throughout Israel. United Hatzalah’s service is available to all people regardless of race, religion, or national origin. United Hatzalah has more than 8,600 volunteers around the country, available around the clock – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With our unique dispatch technology, innovative rapid response vehicles, and community-based volunteer network, our 8,600 volunteers - medics, paramedics, nurses, midwives and doctors - arrive to emergencies within minutes, and our goal is to arrive at any emergency across Israel in 90 seconds.
