My bar mitzvah in June was to have been in Israel, but the war changed our plans. I an now raising money to help United Hatzalah save lives.

This past June was my Bar mitzvah and we were supposed to go to Israel and as my mitzvah project I am raising money for an oxygen tank and helping the united hatzalah pack there medical supplies. Yom Kippur is a day when we stop everything. We put aside the distractions, the schedules, the things that seem so important every other day, and we ask ourselves a simple question: What really matters? On Yom Kippur, we think about life. We think about the people we love. We think about how precious every breath is, and how quickly everything can change. And that’s why I’m asking you to help me raise money for an oxygen tank. For a volunteer EMT responding to an emergency, oxygen isn’t just equipment. Sometimes, it’s what helps keep someone breathing until they can receive the medical care they desperately need.
