On Day 2 of Operation Roaring Lion, our hearts were shattered. United Hatzalah EMT Ronit Elimelech was killed in a direct missile strike in Beit Shemesh, alongside her mother, Sarah, of blessed memory, and nine other innocent people on that fateful day.
Ronit was always the first to respond. The first to run toward an emergency. She brought with her a rare sense of calm, care, and compassion to those in need. She was far more than a volunteer medic. She was a model of dedication, a source of light in moments of darkness, and an inseparable part of the lifesaving network serving the Beit Shemesh region.
On the day her light was taken from us, a profound void was left behind. For her family, for her community, and among her fellow volunteers.
Now, we carry her memory and her mission forward.
We are committed to ensuring that Ronit’s spirit continues to be felt on the streets, in the neighborhoods, and among the people for whom she gave so much of herself. In that spirit, we are launching a special initiative in her memory:
The purchase of a lifesaving operational 4X4 emergency ATV, dedicated in her name.
Why an ATV?
The Beit Shemesh region presents unique challenges. Its complex terrain and open areas often require rapid response in locations beyond the reach of traditional ambulances.
- This emergency ATV will allow our volunteers to:
- Reach patients in remote and off-road locations within moments
- Deliver advanced lifesaving equipment wherever it is needed
- Navigate dense neighborhoods with speed
- Provide critical care in any terrain and under any conditions
We need your help.
This is more than a campaign. It is a continuation of Ronit’s life’s work. Every donation becomes another opportunity to carry forward her legacy. Another emergency call answered. Another life saved in her name.
