Please join us in raising funds for United Hatzalah of Israel. We are doing this in honor of the upcoming 19th yartzeit of our beloved daughter and sister, Devorah Leah, a.h. who was always ready to help another person with great love and laughter! At the young age of eight, Devorah Leah suffered from a severe form of epilepsy. Despite all the hardships, she made it her life mission to be happy and to use all her talents and energy to help others to be happy too, regardless of their background. We think Devorah Leah will love knowing that an Emergency Response Ambucyle donated in her honor is racing to help anyone in need in Israel. Over the years, Devorah Leah’s life was saved many times by Emergency Medical Services coming to her aid. United Hatzalah of Israel, is a non-profit first-responders organization. It is inclusive both in its leadership and staff and in its responding to people of all ethnicities and religious backgrounds-Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Druze, and Bedouin. This incredible organization responds to more than 1,800 lifesaving calls a day. The medic bag which we are working to purchase will equip a volunteer medic with all of the tools they need to save lives in Israel. United Hatzalah of Israel is the largest independent, non-profit, fully volunteer Emergency Medical Service organization that provides the fastest and free emergency medical first response throughout Israel. United Hatzalah’s service is available to all people regardless of race, religon, or national origin. United Hatzalah has more than 6,500 volunteers around the country, available around the clock – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With the help of our unique GPS technology and our iconic ambucycles, our average response time is less than 3 minutes across the country and 90 seconds in metropolitan areas. Our mission is to arrive at the scene of medical emergencies as soon as possible and provide the patient with professional and appropriate medical aid until an ambulance arrives, resulting in many more lives saved.
