Message to sponsors

In light of the current situation in eretz Yisroel, Dovid has decided to ask that anyone who would otherwise contribute to his Bar Mitzvah in any way please do so by donating to United Hatzalah’s lifesaving efforts. Many of us know that Dovid is very drawn to biking; it is his favorite excercise/outlet.

Dovid felt connected to the idea of collecting money for a hatzalah bike, hoping and praying that the use of it will not be necessary. If for any reason it is, he wants to help Jews in need of it.

About the Rapid Response E-Bike
For volunteers commuting short distances, the provision of electric ambulance-bicycles (“E-bikes”) offers an attractive alternative, enabling them to respond promptly to emergencies within seconds, significantly reducing average response times in congested downtown areas. Marked with distinctive United Hatzalah decals, siren, flashing lights, these nimble E-bikes are equipped with a medical first aid bag and defibrillator.

About United Hatzalah of Israel

United Hatzalah of Israel is the largest independent, non-profit, fully volunteer Emergency Medical Service organization that provides the fastest and free emergency medical first response throughout Israel. United Hatzalah’s service is available to all people regardless of race, religion, or national origin. United Hatzalah has more than 7,000 volunteers around the country, available around the clock – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With the help of our unique GPS technology and our iconic ambucycles, our average response time is less than 3 minutes across the country and 90 seconds in metropolitan areas. Our mission is to arrive at the scene of medical emergencies as soon as possible and provide the patient with professional and appropriate medical aid until an ambulance arrives, resulting in many more lives saved.

All donations made to a MyMitzvah campaign will be allocated toward the specific campaign goal, upon completion of said campaign. Donations to campaigns that do not reach their goals, will go toward the lifesaving activities of United Hatzalah.
