Israel Solidarity Run/Walk (Eli & Noah’s B’Nai Mitzvah Project)
Message to sponsors
Last year on 10/7 we were at a cross-country meet when we were horrified to learn that Hamas terrorists invaded Israel and violated and killed 1,200 people and kidnapped 252 others in the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. Since then, we’ve been following the stories of the hostages, and praying for all those that are continuously affected. For our B’nai Mitzvah project, we are doing a Solidary Run Event to raise money for United Hatzalah. United Hatzalah is a group of 7,000 volunteers in Israel who respond to medical emergencies before the ambulances can arrive. They are a non-profit organization and provide aid free of charge. They are available 24/7, 365 days year. Their average response time is from 90 seconds to 3 minutes, often reaching people on mopeds, bikes, or on foot!! These types of everyday heroes leapt into action on Oct 7th and every day. This spirit of caring for each other inspired us to do our part in caring for the people of Israel too. Please join us on 10/6 for a Solidarity Run with Israel on the one year anniversary of the deadly terror attack. Over the past year, this has affected us even here in America, where we are experiencing a sharp rise in antisemitism in cities, in colleges, and online. We stand together against hatred wherever we are across the diaspora. Am Yisrael Chai!
