Dear Friends and Family, I hope you will consider making a donation to United Hatzalah of Israel in honor of me becoming Bar Mitzvah on November 4th. I picked this organization because it saves lives. I was in Israel this summer and visited the headquarters. I could see with my own eyes that United Hatzalah really does save lives 24/7. I was in the dispatch room, where they take all the emergency calls, and I saw that at that very moment they had at least 15 calls going on. While we were there, there was a big car accident near the headquarters and I saw volunteers run to help.
I also met a volunteer who had just saved somebody’s life with an epipen. My goal is to raise $54,000. This is enough to buy the souped up motorcycle that can smoothly drive off-road in conditions such as desert and dirt roads. (In the photo you can see this kind of bike. That’s me in the back.) The motorcycle will go to a volunteer that needs it to save lives. The money also pays for the medical equipment that goes on the back of the motorcycle and help the volunteer save lives.

United Hatzalah has more than 6,500 volunteers around the country, available around the clock – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With the help of our unique GPS technology and our iconic ambucycles, our average response time is less than 3 minutes across the country and 90 seconds in metropolitan areas. Our mission is to arrive at the scene of medical emergencies as soon as possible and provide the patient with professional and appropriate medical aid until an ambulance arrives, resulting in many more lives saved.
