Gleitman Family Morocco Relief Fund
Message to sponsors
I hope you’ll spare a moment to read about an urgent humanitarian mission that’s deeply meaningful to us and seek your valuable support.
This past Saturday night, United Hatzalah dispatched a team of four dedicated volunteers from Israel to Morocco to assess the aftermath of a devastating earthquake that struck many villages in the Moroccan mountains. Upon their arrival, they discovered a profound need for basic medical assistance and humanitarian aid.
United Hatzalah is urgently seeking funds to send a larger team of 12-14 volunteers who will establish mobile health clinics in the affected villages, offer vital medical care, distribute much-needed aid and psychological support to those grappling with the loss of loved ones and homes.
This mission is a short, targeted rescue operation, aiming to provide critical assistance not only to the affected villages but also to support the Jewish community in Morocco, strengthening the bonds that have historically connected our people.
To make this mission a reality, we are seeking assistance with a total budget of $150,000. Your support can go a long way in helping us deliver the care and aid that these communities desperately need in the days to come.
Morocco has a rich history of standing with our people. They extended a lifeline during the darkest times of the Holocaust, signed the Avraham Accords, and have consistently maintained a positive relationship with Israel. Now, it’s our turn to stand by them in their time of need.
We ask for your consideration in supporting this mission. Your generosity will play a pivotal role in providing relief and hope to those who have been affected by this tragic event.
With deep appreciation,
The Gleitman Family
