Shimon Shkury’s Campaign
Message to sponsors
Dear Friends and Family: Motorcycles, specifically ambucycles, can save lives, they do so in Israel. United Hatzalah (http://hatzalah.loc/), the organization behind it, is the UBER of Israel's Medical Emergency First Responders. Their goal is to get to any 911 call in less than 3 minutes. As many of you know, my dad passed away this year and we miss him dearly. Moshe Shkury Z"L was a kind, humble family man, a person of great advice who honored every human being. He was always pleasant and helpful and giving. When we realized that there exists a need for a large ambucycle in Kadima - Zoran, where my family lives, we thought that this would be a special opportunity to honor his memory. My family jokes that during my fathers 50th birthday, I surprised everyone with a 'special gift': I bought myself a motorcycle with my bar-mitzvah money. The motorcycle was fun at the time, and I have had several others since. However, this time around the motorcycle we are buying is to save lives, to allow for a first responder to attend to a medical emergency in less than 3 minutes. We hope that you find United Hatzalah's story inspiring. If you would like to take part in our project please feel free to click here and donate any amount to help us reach our goal. Thank you and Tizku L'Mitzvot, may we all have the merit to do more good deeds.
