With the heinous events ongoing in Israel by the hands of Hamas and our struggle to defend ourselves in our homeland, the hosts of the annual Sukkot parties are split on whether to throw a social festivity at this time. We have agreed that the unity, joys, and lives that might come from the annual celebrations are cause enough to move forward, but we’d also like to use this as an opportunity to support and contribute to the Israeli people socially and financially. Over the last 10 years we’ve never accepted an admittance fee, and we don’t plan to do so, but we are currently putting together a GoFundMe, and your contributions will be strongly encouraged, though not mandatory. Our hearts go out to all those living in fear in our homeland, to all the soldiers risking their lives in our defense, and all those abroad with loved ones in danger. United Hatzalah of Israel is the largest independent, non-profit, fully volunteer Emergency Medical Service organization that provides the fastest and free emergency medical first response throughout Israel. United Hatzalah’s service is available to all people regardless of race, religion, or national origin. United Hatzalah has more than 7,000 volunteers around the country, available around the clock – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With the help of our unique GPS technology and our iconic ambucycles, our average response time is less than 3 minutes across the country and 90 seconds in metropolitan areas. Our mission is to arrive at the scene of medical emergencies as soon as possible and provide the patient with professional and appropriate medical aid until an ambulance arrives, resulting in many more lives saved.
