Together for Israel – Silberman Community Campaign
Message to sponsors
Dear Family and Friends,
Since the morning of October 7th, when we learned of the atrocities in Israel, we have remained horrified and heartbroken. As a part of Am Yisrael we are deeply affected by these events and feel a tremendous responsibility to help. We know that you and so many others share these sentiments. As grandchildren of Holocaust survivors, we understand the importance of rising from our sorrows to rebuild, as difficult as it may be, and even with fear of more difficult times ahead. We also know from our friends and family in Israel that displays of support and Jewish unity have been crucial to providing solace.
We are fortunate to have strength in numbers, and coming together to show our oneness is powerful. With that in mind, we have organized a fundraising campaign with United Hatzalah, which provides rapid, lifesaving medical care to thousands of Israelis each year. In the last week, the need for medical equipment has risen dramatically. We are collecting funds to purchase an Emergency Response Minilance, which allows volunteer EMTs to navigate through busy traffic to provide even more efficient care.
We initially aimed to unite 200 people to each equally contribute $180 to cover the $36,000 cost of an Ambucycle - and since we were fortunate to surpass that goal, we have decided to now aim to raise $46,000 for the Minilance. Our hope is to encourage a unified display of strength through numbers to meet our goal. Please join us in supporting our communities in Israel.
May Hashem answer our prayers and bring an end to bloodshed and conflict speedily in our days.
