Yael & Tomer Adaddi’s Life-Saving Defibrillator Campaign
Join Yael & Tomer Adaddi, in partnership with Eli Beer, to raise awareness about the life-saving importance of defibrillators.
Message to sponsors
We are excited to partner with United Hatzalah to raise awareness about the life-saving importance of defibrillators. A quick response saved my life and deepened my understanding of the crucial impact of United Hatzalah’s 90-second mission. We hope to help others benefit from this vital knowledge. Please read on to hear my story:
In March, shortly after conducting the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, I was performing in Florida when my heart suddenly stopped. I collapsed on stage due to a rare genetic condition. By the time I reached the hospital, I was also diagnosed with Covid, which led to pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). For six days, I was sedated and ventilated—the same treatment my friend Eli Beer received early in the pandemic.
A series of miracles saved me: A retired nurse in the audience, a policewoman, and paramedics performed CPR and used a defibrillator to stabilize me, getting me to a trauma hospital in minutes. If I hadn’t been performing in front of 500 people, I might not be here today.
Grateful for my second chance, I co-wrote the song Mode Ani with my friend Yoav Ginai, expressing my gratitude for the life I was given back. I encourage everyone to learn CPR and how to use a defibrillator—both were vital in saving my life.
Time with loved ones is a gift we cannot take for granted.
Please join my wife, Yael, and me, in partnership with Eli Beer, to raise awareness about the life-saving importance of defibrillators by supporting our campaign. Our goal is to sponsor 36 defibrillators, each costing $2,500. You can choose to sponsor an entire defibrillator by selecting the sponsorship above, or make a donation of any amount to help us reach our goal.
Every contribution, big or small, is deeply appreciated.
"Thankful I am for giving me back my soul, my breath, and my music.”
Yours,
Yael & Tomer Adaddi
