One of United Hatzalah’s ambucycles has been in the field for almost 4 years saving lives each and every day.

On April 1, 2014 a young mother was crossing the street at a crosswalk in the Talpiot section of Jerusalem with her 4 year-old daughter at her side and her baby in the carriage when they were struck by a careless driver. The 4 year-old was moderately injured and the mom and baby were only lightly hurt.

United Hatzalah ambucycle medic Hillel Barak on ambucycle 226 was among the first volunteers on scene and focused his initial treatment on the 4 year-old before shifting over to calm and reassure the mom that both her kids would be fine. Police are investigating the incident.
