Donor Engagement Associate
Job Description
The Donor Engagement Associate will play a crucial role in maintaining and strengthening relationships with current high-level donors, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated for their contributions to the organization. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing effective stewardship strategies, creating personalized communication, and ensuring that donors understand the impact of their gifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer or donor relations, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to the mission of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Reports to: Director of Office of the President, United Hatzalah
- Support fundraisers’ efforts to maintain their relationships with donors by developing personalized engagement strategies and stewardship products for their high-level donors.
- Collaborate with the International Media Team and the Donor Communications Team to create compelling content that highlights donor contributions and their impact.
- Ensure that donors receive meaningful and timely updates about the specific programs, projects, or initiatives they are supporting.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of interactions with donors in Salesforce.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of stewardship efforts and retention strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- One or more years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Native English Speaker, with intermediate or high level Hebrew.
- Exceptional writing and proofreading skills.
- Creative thinker who can initiate and execute stewardship projects tailored to the interests of donors.
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with donor management software (e.g., Salesforce) and familiarity with CRM best practices.
- A team player who collaborates easily with colleagues in other departments, and has the ability to work independently to bring projects to fruition.
- Trustworthy individual who maintains confidentiality of donor information and organizational communications.
Work Environment:
- This is a full-time position in our Jerusalem headquarters and may require occasional evening work.

Grant Writer, Jerusalem
Job Description
United Hatzalah, Israel’s national volunteer emergency response organization, seeks a bilingual grant writer to work on the International Resource Development Team. This position encompasses the full grant cycle: research, Letters of Intent, proposals, reporting, and ongoing correspondence. This is a full-time position working at our Jerusalem office.
Responsibilities:
- Research potential funding sources
- Write grant applications based on organizational needs
- Build program proposals, including budgets and measurable outcomes
- Produce donor-centered marketing material
- Track submissions of proposals and manage relationships with funders in Salesforce
- Report to funders and maintain their engagement in projects funded by their grants.
Qualifications:
- Native-level English speaker with outstanding English writing skills
- Basic Hebrew speaking, reading, and writing skills
- Minimum of two years of proven grant writing experience

Executive Assistant to the CEO of United Hatzalah International
Job Description
Friends of United Hatzalah, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which supports the work of United Hatzalah of Israel, is seeking an Executive Assistant to the CEO of United Hatzalah International to join our expanding US-based team.
This full-time position based in our NYC headquarters (hybrid work schedule) will be a key member of the team. The Executive Assistant to the CEO is responsible for managing schedules and portfolios, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating projects to ensure all tasks are completed in timely and high-quality manner. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled at multitasking, enabling the CEO to focus on strategic initiatives and leadership. This position involves close collaboration with all staff across the international teams. The position reports to the CEO of United Hatzalah International.
Responsibilities:
- Donor Management- proactively help the CEO efficiently and effectively manage his high-net-worth donor portfolio.
- Fundraising
- Help manage donor relationships
- Source new potential supporters for the organization, including research and securing meetings.
- Stewardship- Manage stewardship for donors to the organization ensuring they get regular updates on the impact of their support as well as inviting them to events and visits to the UH headquarters in Jerusalem.
- Fundraising
- International entities– assist CEO with management of different UH regional entities.
- Board management– Assist with management of the US National Board including board meeting preparation and helping manage various Committees of the Board.
- Project management
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
- Work closely with the NY-based team to support the organization’s priorities.
Qualifications:

Director of Events
Job Description
Friends of United Hatzalah, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports the work of United Hatzalah of Israel, seeks a Director of Events to join our mission-focused, fast-paced environment that works every day to save lives and care for the people of Israel.
This full-time position, based in Manhattan on a hybrid schedule, will be responsible for leading a team of events professionals in planning and executing fundraising events throughout the United States. The Director of Events is the operational force behind all event programming and will work closely across all departments and staff to ensure the events department is consistently running at the highest levels of excellence to produce nearly 100 events of various sizes per year. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and process-driven, possess excellent interpersonal skills for interacting gracefully in all situations with senior staff, peers and major donors, and have a passion for Israel and our life-saving mission.
This is an in-office position and will require travel locally and nationally to oversee and manage events onsite, as well as some evening and weekend presence at events. The position will report to the Vice President of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Event Planning and Execution
- Direct and manage all event planning, logistics, production, and execution.
- Attend events as needed to direct and assist with all event set up, execution, and tear down.
- Utilize event planning/task management platform to ensure timely execution of events.
- Identify, select, and negotiate contracts with venues and vendors, cultivating and maintaining positive vendor relationships.
- Ensure vendor compliance with contract terms.
- Oversee planning and execution of major galas of 1,000 guests+ in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles.
- Collaborate with fundraising team to support smaller to mid-size events in local markets.
- Maintain highest level of service to ensure outstanding donor stewardship and event experiences.
- Supervise graphic design department for high quality and timely production of event materials.
- Review event planning progress on regular basis with VP of Operations.
- Seek out opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of events department.
- Management and Leadership
- Supervise, lead, and mentor events team staff, fostering a collaborative, creative and high-performance environment.
- Deliver regular staff performance reviews and assessments.

- Event Budgeting and Finance
- Develop and maintain budgets across all events, tracking expenditures for all event budgets to ensure department is working within budget.
- Ensure compliance with financial and other organizational policies and procedures across all events activities and staff.
- Work closely with finance department to execute procedures across procurement and other finance-related areas.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of vendor documentation and invoicing.
- Measure and track ROI for all events to inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience and increasing responsibility in running major events.
- Strong management skills with at least 3 years of experience managing a team of direct reports.
- Expert knowledge of event planning, production, and execution.
- Experience in bidding out, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
- Ability to manage multiple events and competing demands while maintaining highest standards.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, motivational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to anticipate problems before they arise, and deal with them professionally when they do.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to exude calm in high-stress situations.
- Excellent and highly professional interpersonal and communication skills.

- Demonstrated use of event management/task management platforms for planning and executing events such as Asana, Monday.com or Cvent, preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM, preferred.
Salary range:
Salary range of $130,000-$150,000, with comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, retirement plan with employer match, and paid holidays/time off, as well as travel to Israel.
