Job Description

United Hatzalah is seeking a person with excellent administrative skills and communication expertise to fulfill a unique role in the Office of the President, Eli Beer.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of the President’s office with ongoing administrative needs, including updating contact information, researching prospective donors and organizations, monitoring correspondence.
  • Assist the Director of the President’s Office with a dynamic calendar and scheduling meetings.
  • Assist the Director of the President’s Office with special stewardship projects as they arise.
  • Transcribe voice notes and edit text messages.
  • Support the organization’s fundraising efforts by coordinating and sharing information and digital media with international staff.
  • Collaborate with the organization’s fast-growing teams both in Israel and Internationally.

 

This is a full-time position based out of our Jerusalem headquarters (Sunday through Thursday)

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Donor Dedications: Film and edit personalized “Day of Lifesaving” and vehicle dedication videos for international donors.
  • Program Updates: Produce video reports for specialized initiatives (e.g., Women’s Initiative, MCI drills, Haredi National Service project).
  • Informational Content: Create educational videos showcasing our medical technology, vehicle fleet, and departmental inner workings.
  • Grant Support: Collaborate with the grant-writing team to produce visual assets for high-level funding requests.
  • Relationship Management: Ensure all donor-facing video content aligns with the organization’s branding and emotional tone.

United Hatzalah is looking for a bilingual grant writer to work on the International Resource Development Team. This position encompasses the full grant cycle: research, Letters of Intent, proposals, reporting and ongoing correspondence. This is a full-time position working at our Jerusalem headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Research potential funding sources.
  • Write grant applications based on organizational needs.
  • Build program proposals, including budgets and measurable outcomes.
  • Produce donor-centered marketing material.
  • Track submissions of proposals and manage relationships with funders in Salesforce.
  • Report to funders and maintain their engagement in projects funded by their grants.

Data Specialist, Donation Operations (New York City)

Job Description

Friends of United Hatzalah seeks a Data Specialist, Donation Operations to join our U.S.-based team.  This full-time position is based in our New York City headquarters on a hybrid in-office work schedule. The position reports to the Manager of Donation Operations and will be a key member of the Finance Team. The ideal candidate will be organized, personable and process-driven, a self-starter with a passion for Israel and our lifesaving mission. This candidate will process and record gifts as they are received, creating accurate donor records, overseeing receipts and acknowledgements, maintaining data integrity in our Salesforce CRM, and collaborating with staff across the fundraising, finance, and operations teams. This position will work within a friendly and sociable team full of like-minded individuals and grow a meaningful career in the non-profit sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Donation Processing & Revenue Management
    • Track and record daily donations from multiple donation platforms within set time limits
    • Participate in the daily processing of mail in collaboration with the Finance Team
    • Oversee our direct mail and telemarketing campaign revenue
    • Support revenue reconciliation across systems
  • Data Management & Systems Accuracy
    • Maintain accurate donor and donation records in Salesforce and our financial subsystem

Responsibilities:

Events & Program Marketing

  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns for galas, programs, and special events.

  • Coordinate PR activities with the Israel PR office, ensuring alignment on messaging, timing, and media strategy.

Southeast Development Director (Miami, Florida)

Job Description

Friends of United Hatzalah seeks a Southeast Development Director to join our expanding US-based team. This full-time position is based in our Miami, Florida headquarters on a hybrid in-office work schedule and reports to the Global Chief Development Officer (GCDO). The SE Development Director will be responsible for leading and growing philanthropic revenue across the SE region through major gifts, regional strategy, donor stewardship, and community engagement. This role serves as the primary development leader in the region and works in close partnership with national development, operations, and executive leadership to advance organizational priorities. The ideal candidate is a strategic fundraiser with strong relationship-building skills, has a proven track record in raising major gifts and managing a small team of major gift fundraisers, and the ability to represent the organization with credibility among high-level donors, board members, and community stakeholders. The SE director will also work closely with the President and Founder of United Hatzalah during their extensive visits to the SE region, which includes the planning and execution of an annual Miami Gala that generates multi-million dollars in revenue.

Responsibilities:

  1. Regional Fundraising & Revenue Growth
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional fundraising strategy aligned with national goals.
    • Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, with responsibility for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
    • Identify and grow new donor relationships, with a focus on major and leadership-level gifts.
    • Meet or exceed annual revenue goals for the SE region.
    • Lead and coordinate regional fundraising efforts across individual giving, events, and other revenue streams in partnership with SE-based staff.
  1. Team Leadership & Management
    • Directly manage and mentor the SE-based fundraising and development team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and results.
    • Set clear performance expectations, goals, and metrics for regional staff aligned with annual fundraising targets in coordination with the GCDO.

  3. Board Partnership and Affinity Groups:
    • Partner with regional and national board members to support fundraising efforts.
    • Support board giving, donor introductions, and strategic engagement.
    • Develop and implement strategy for local affinity groups such as Women’s Initiative and Young Leadership in local market that aligns with national objectives.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in similar or related role
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, master’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated success securing six and seven-figure gifts
  • Strong knowledge of the Southeast and South Florida philanthropic landscape and donor community
