What began as a night of joy for two families took an unexpected turn on a quiet street in Bnei Brak.
A vehicle transporting a newlywed bride and groom home from their wedding was involved in a traffic accident with another car returning from a bar mitzvah celebration. United Hatzalah volunteer medics were dispatched to the scene, where two vehicles carrying families from separate joyous occasions had collided. In total, eight individuals sustained light injuries and received initial treatment at the scene.
United Hatzalah volunteer Yehuda Hildesheim, among the first responders to arrive, described the response.
“Together with additional volunteers, we treated eight individuals suffering from minor injuries, including the bride and groom, a couple of parents, three children, and an infant,” he said. “All of those injured were then transported to the hospital for further evaluation.”
The incident serves as a reminder of how quickly moments of celebration can shift, and underscores the importance of rapid emergency response.
Even in the wake of such unexpected events, help is never far when United Hatzalah volunteers are on call.
