United Hatzalah mourns the loss of Rabbi Beinish Mandel Z”L. Rabbi Mandel was a longtime member of Flatbush Hatzolah and was one of the first Paramedics in Hatzolah anywhere in the world. Rabbi Mandel has saved thousands of lives through his efforts as a Hatzalah as both a Paramedic and instructor. He was a tremendous baal chessed and a loving husband and father of 10 children. The thousands upon thousands of lives that he touched can testify that Rabbi Mandel was a truly righteous person and a hero.
President and Founder of United Hatzalah Eli Beer as well as Senior Vice President of International Development for the organization Dov Maisel issued the following statement. “Over the past two decades, Rabbi Beinish has been in constant collaboration with us here in United Hatzalah and vice-versa. He will be sorely missed by everyone here at United Hatzalah as well as Hatzolah chapters all over the world. We can only pray and wish that Hashem gives his wife Bashie and their children strength to carry on his positive works and comfort them so that they may find peace in the face of this tragedy.”
