United Hatzalah marked a significant step forward in strengthening emergency medical response across Israel with the launch of 20 new ambulances and nine ambucycles, part of the organization’s broader plan to expand its national fleet of lifesaving emergency vehicles.
“Today, these new emergency vehicles passed the rigorous inspection and approval process of Israel’s Ministry of Health clearing the way for their deployment in communities across the country,” said Professor Ehud Davidson, CEO of United Hatzalah. “This is a huge step that will enable our dedicated volunteers not only to arrive faster, but also to provide excellent professional emergency medical care and save even more lives across Israel, regardless of background, religion or ethnicity, and all free of charge.”
The approval comes as United Hatzalah continues to advance toward its goal of reaching emergencies within 90 seconds. Over the coming months, the organization plans to further expand its fleet with dozens of additional emergency vehicles, further strengthening its ability to provide rapid, professional and accessible emergency medical care throughout Israel.

“With every new vehicle added to the fleet, United Hatzalah strengthens its ability to reach all kinds of emergencies in Israel faster,” remarked Eli Beer, Founder and President of United Hatzalah. “Aid provided in those first moments of a cardiac arrest or serious injury, dramatically increase the chances of a person’s survival. When our volunteer medics arrive quickly and have access to the advanced medical equipment of an ambulance we can help treat and hopefully save more lives when every second matters.”
The expanded fleet of emergency vehicles is not the only part of United Hatzalah that is growing. This year, United Hatzalah will add dozens of newly trained volunteer EMTs, further enhancing its ability to respond to traffic accidents, trauma incidents and other emergency calls, bringing help to patients not only in the major cities, but also in smaller towns and communities across Israel.
