34-year-old man found near Kiryat Shlomo after being missing since Thursday, suffering from exhaustion and injuries

A search for a missing man in Israel’s Sharon region ended with a dramatic rescue Monday afternoon after United Hatzalah EMT Yuval Yogev located the 34-year-old alive inside a well near Kiryat Shlomo.

The man had been reported missing since Thursday, prompting search efforts in the area. Yogev was participating in the search alongside Search and Rescue K9 units when he discovered the missing man inside the well.

Realizing that the man was alive and required an urgent extraction, Yogev immediately contacted United Hatzalah’s Dispatch and Command Center and reported his location. Fire and Rescue personnel were subsequently dispatched to the scene to carry out the complex extraction.

After being brought safely out of the well, the man was found to be suffering from significant exhaustion as well as injuries to his back and limbs. His condition was assessed as moderate.

Medical personnel provided initial treatment at the scene before he was transported to the hospital for further evaluation and care.

The discovery brought an end to several days of uncertainty surrounding the man’s disappearance and highlighted the importance of cooperation between the different search teams operating in the field.

For United Hatzalah volunteers, whose work most often begins with an emergency call dispatched directly to their phones, the incident was a reminder that lifesaving can sometimes begin long before medical treatment is required. In this case, it began with the determination to keep searching.

When Yogev located the missing man, the transition from search operation to medical rescue was immediate. Within moments, the location had been reported, additional emergency personnel were on their way, and preparations were underway to bring the injured man to safety.
