Speedog, a leading Israeli chain of pet supply stores, and United Hatzalah announced a new collaborative initiative to support the first responder organization’s Psychotrauma K-9 Unit, which provides critical psychological support during disasters and emergencies.
Speedog is one of Israel’s largest chains of pet supplies and equipment with over 25 branches countrywide. As part of the new partnership, Speedog will donate a portion of every Alleva pet food sales from its stores to United Hatzalah’s K-9 Unit. Additionally, Speedog will provide all of the essential equipment and food for United Hatzalah’s relief dogs assisting in disaster and emergency situations.
Operating 24/7 on a volunteer basis, United Hatzalah’s K-9 Unit delivers immediate emotional support at emergency sites. These specialized disaster relief dogs play a crucial role in reducing victims’ anxiety and stress, offering a calming presence that aids psychological recovery.

“We are deeply committed to volunteerism and making a positive impact for animals and communities,” Speedog said. “Our teams work with unwavering passion and a genuine sense of purpose. Speedog actively supports animal protection organizations, hosts adoption events, and provides comprehensive assistance to adoptive families. We are driven by a profound commitment to enhancing the lives of both animals and people, contributing to our community with compassion and responsibility.”
Eli Pollack, Deputy CEO of United Hatzalah, said: “This collaboration with Speedog is a blessing for our organization. Their critical support enables us to expand our K-9 Unit’s reach and provide essential psychological support to more individuals in emergency situations. We recently completed an advanced training course, integrating ten new disaster relief dogs into our specialized unit. This partnership empowers us to deliver rapid, targeted psychological assistance, providing comfort and security to those experiencing their most vulnerable moments.”
