Donor Communications – Writing and Content Production, Jerusalem

Job Description

The Donor Communications Team of United Hatzalah is looking to add another passionate writer to our world class team. Our writers are responsible for updating our diverse donor base with stories and statistics about the vehicles and/or equipment that they have donated and providing them with personal accounts of lifesaving stories occurring in Israel every single day.

This is a full-time position (42 hours/week) including flexible hours and occasional remote work. Most work will be done in our Jerusalem office during normal business hours.

Responsibilities:

Create Impactful Donor Reports:

  • Craft compelling and personalized reports that vividly illustrate the profound impact of donors’ support.

Multi-Media Content Production:

  • Produce engaging content across various media channels to enhance donor stewardship and foster a deeper connection with our mission.

Direct Communication with Volunteer Medics:

  • Collaborate directly with our dedicated volunteer medics to gather real-time stories and experiences for inclusion in donor communications.

Timely Task Completion:

  • Ensure the timely completion of tasks related to content creation and communication with donors.

Qualifications:

Language Skills:

  • Mother tongue English with excellent writing skills.

Technological Literacy:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite Team productivity tools

Social Media Manager, Jerusalem

Job Description

  • Content Creation and Management: Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and the personal brand of Eli Beer.

Grant Writer, Jerusalem

Job Description

United Hatzalah, Israel’s national volunteer emergency response organization, seeks a bilingual grant writer to work on the International Resource Development Team. This position encompasses the full grant cycle: research, Letters of Intent, proposals, reporting, and ongoing correspondence. This is a full-time position working at our Jerusalem office.

Responsibilities:

  • Research potential funding sources
  • Write grant applications based on organizational needs
  • Build program proposals, including budgets and measurable outcomes
  • Produce donor-centered marketing material
  • Track submissions of proposals and manage relationships with funders in Salesforce
  • Report to funders and maintain their engagement in projects funded by their grants.

Program Manager, FL

Job Description

Friends of United Hatzalah, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which supports the work of United Hatzalah of Israel, is currently seeking a Program Manager to join our expanding US-based team.

 

This full-time position based in Miami, Florida will play a vital role in leading and managing a new initiative aimed at providing support for lifesaving in Israel through teens and youth. The initiative will create tangible ways for young people to give charitable and humanitarian contributions to United Hatzalah creating a ripple effect that transcends generations to come, and inspires a legacy of generosity to ensure that United Hatzalah lives on in perpetuity.

 

This role requires strong leadership, program management skills, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of those in need. The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Initiative, ensuring its successful launch and long-term impact.

 

The ideal candidate is a people person and is excellent with multitasking and prioritizing. They should be passionate about United Hatzalah’s mission and will work closely and collaboratively with US and Israeli team members. This position will work within a friendly and sociable team full of like-minded individuals and grow a meaningful career in the non-profit sector. The position reports to the National Major Gifts Director in Florida.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiative Leadership: Lead and oversee all aspects of the Initiative, ensuring it aligns with the organization’s mission and strategic goals
  • Program Planning and Management: Develop a comprehensive program plan, including defining objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Establish effective program management processes to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure efficient implementation

  • Advocacy and Awareness: Collaborate with the organization’s communication team to develop effective advocacy strategies and promotional materials that raise awareness about the Initiative and its impact on saving lives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., public health, international development, social sciences). A master’s degree is preferred
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in program management, preferably in the non-profit sector, with a track record of successfully launching and managing complex projects
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to timelines
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams, volunteers, and stakeholders effectively
  • Knowledge and understanding of global health issues and the challenges faced by vulnerable communities

Friends of United Hatzalah, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which supports the work of United Hatzalah of Israel, is seeking a Finance Specialist, Revenue and Gift Processing to join our expanding US-based team in an exciting beginner role with great opportunity and potential for growth.

This full-time position based in our NYC headquarters (hybrid work schedule) will be a key member of the Revenue and Gift Processing team, contributing to the intake and processing of all U.S. donations and ensuring that these are maintained in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.  The Finance Specialist will process and record gifts as they are received, creating accurate donor records, maintaining data integrity across CRM and other databases, and collaborating with staff across the fundraising, finance, and operations teams.

The ideal candidate will be organized, personable and process-driven, a self-starter with a passion for Israel and our lifesaving mission. The position reports to the Senior Associate, Revenue and Gift Processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Track and record daily donations from multiple donation platforms within set time limits
  • In collaboration with other Finance Department personnel, participate in the daily processing of mail
  • Maintain accurate and consistent donor/donation records in Salesforce, QuickBooks, and MS Office systems with high degree of accuracy
  • Prepare timely and accurate charitable receipts, acknowledgement letters and other donor correspondence
  • Routinely review, update and maintain data records to ensure accuracy and data integrity
  • Perform revenue reconciliation across systems
  • Communicate with donors and staff across the organization to cultivate an exceptional donor experience
  • Research and ensure required PCI compliance of online credit card transactions
  • Assist with establishing new accounts to facilitate receipt of new donor funds and corporate matching gifts
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure donation data is configured to enhance tracking and reporting
  • Propose and implement recommendations for improved processes
  • Other finance and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree with demonstrated experience managing payment processing, data entry, or similar
  • Strong computer literacy, including advanced Excel skills
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and meticulousness in recording information
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
