The newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, delivered an address this evening at United Hatzalah’s Independence Day celebration at the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem. He thanked the many volunteers for their dedication to the safety of all people in Israel, especially amid the current wildfires.
Dr. Miriam Adelson and Pastor John Hagee presented Ambassador Huckabee with the United Hatzalah “The Defender of Israel” Award for 2025. United Hatzalah Board Member Isy Danon dedicated a donated Ambucycle to Ambassador Huckabee to celebrate his recent appointment.
“Tonight, we all come to celebrate that Israel has a right to exist in safety and freedom, it has a right to its sovereignty, it has a right to claim the indisputable, indivisible capital of Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish State, now and for eternity,” remarked Ambassador Mike Huckabee to the crowd. “May God bless the people of Israel, the Jewish people, and may God bless peace in the Middle East
Ambassador Mike Huckabee continued: “Somewhere tonight in Tehran, the Supreme Leader is probably meeting with the key people around him, and they are discussing what they have been talking about for 46 years, and that’s how to murder everyone in Israel and all the people of Israel. They never changed their tune. They never said maybe we were wrong all these years. They’ve been consistent and stubborn in saying death to Israel, and death to America, and we should take them seriously. While they’re speaking tonight about death, destruction, and darkness, we’re sitting here, and we’re talking about how to bring life.”
400 attendees joined United Hatzalah volunteers and supporters with a special viewing of the Museum’s newest exhibit. Sylvan Adams, the President of World Jewish Congress Israel Region and Trustee at the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem, introduced the new exhibit “6:29: From Darkness to Light,” showcasing powerful testimonies from October 7th.
Attendees were moved by a performance from Shai Abramson, the State of Israel’s representative cantor. Larry A. Mizel, chairman of the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem, was honored with the “United Hatzalah Jerusalem Award” recognizing his extraordinary support and contributions to lifesaving efforts in Israel and abroad.
“This evening’s tribute event, held in honor of Israel’s 77th Independence Day and to welcome the new American Ambassador, was a special and emotional opportunity to recognize the dedication of United Hatzalah’s volunteers — a life-saving civilian force for the people of Israel across the country. On this occasion, we had the privilege of presenting a token of appreciation to Ambassador Huckabee, a true friend of our organization and of the State of Israel for many years. We thank him for his unwavering stance and consistent support, and we look forward to deepening our strategic partnership to save lives and strengthen the ties between Israel and the United States,” said Eli Beer, founder and president of United Hatzalah of Israel.
