United Hatzalah’s medical teams swiftly responded to an emergency in Givat HaTitora, where a two-year-old toddler had fallen into a four-meter-deep pit while hiking with his family. The situation was tense, but thanks to the swift action of United Hatzalah’s volunteers, the toddler was quickly rescued and transported to safety.
Avi Deblinger, an experienced EMT and head of United Hatzalah’s Modiin branch, was the first responder to reach the scene. Upon assessing the situation, Deblinger made the decision to enter the pit himself. He was able to safely retrieve the toddler, who had fallen into the deep hole during the family’s hike.
Despite the dangerous nature of the fall, the young child remained fully conscious and in stable condition throughout the ordeal. The dedicated team of paramedics ensured that the toddler received immediate medical attention before being transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
