Sirens sounded repeatedly across central Israel throughout Monday, March 9, sending millions of residents rushing to protected spaces as additional missile barrages were launched toward the region.
United Hatzalah’s volunteer EMTs and paramedics were dispatched to several impact sites, where they provided immediate medical care to victims and assisted residents affected by the attacks.
Emergency teams treated multiple casualties during the incidents, including two individuals who sustained moderate injuries and one person who suffered minor injuries. Two additional residents were treated for anxiety and emotional distress in the aftermath of the attacks. Tragically, one fatality was also reported.
In addition to treating those directly wounded, United Hatzalah volunteers assisted several individuals who were injured while rushing to shelters as the sirens sounded. Specialized members of the organization’s Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit were also deployed to provide support and care to those experiencing emotional shock following the events.
Today marked Day 10 of Operation Roaring Lion, as missile alerts and security warnings continued to disrupt daily life across large parts of the country.
